Texas Longhorns wide receiver Kendall Sanders posted just 2 receptions last season as a freshman, but was in the bidding for a starting job this coming season. A suspension could hinder that now following his arrest this past weekend.
Sanders was pulled over for unspecified traffic violations at around 2:40 in the morning on Saturday, and not many details are known at this moment.
Longhorns head coach Mack Brown released the following in a statement from the University;
"We're aware of Kendall's situation, have talked with him and his family, and are disappointed any time one of our players is accused of wrongdoing, We take a strong stance against drinking and driving and will continue to monitor this situation to get more details. Following the completion of the legal process, we will do what's best for the university, Kendall and the team. One thing we have great pride in about our program is our family atmosphere and there also will be discipline handled within our family."
