Alameda Ta'amu was originally charged with 15 crimes related to a drunken behind the wheel rampage last October, but ultimately he was sentenced to just 18 months of probation. I have not heard anything about whether Roger Goodell plans on suspending Ta'amu, but getting cut by the Steelers and spending the rest of the season on the Practice Squad probably didn't make him feel to well.
Then he did this.
Ta'amu, a 2012 4th round draft pick out of Washington, retweeted a picture of himself behind the wheel with his friend holding a bottle of Cinnamon Whiskey. He has since deleted the picture and backpedaled faster than any cornerback in the NFL, tweeting the following:
This was not his first DUI this past October, nearly a year before that he was charged with DUI in October of 2011 when he registered just under a .10 at the age of 19.
The original tweet, from @ME0ish said the following, and we tweeted roughly 14 hours before this posting:
"Every time I link up with @MEDATAAMU74 it be a crazy MF night! Tamu driving w open Fireball.genius"
Now just for shits and giggles, here is Ta'amu taking some shots the weekend before his DUI in 2012:
