Nevada RB Drake Griffin, a walk-on freshman, was supposed to be a walk-on at Kansas State but ultimately decided the best fit was with the Nevada Wolfpack. He has played on the scout team all season, but has not appeared in a game, which isn't surprising since they have a 3rd team All-American at running back. Now, his future is in doubt with the organization following a recent arrest.
Griffin was arrested Sunday on three charges, including driving under the influence, careless driving and for failure to appear/obey a court order from a previous citation.
No details have been released yet regarding the arrest, but it appears that head coach Chris Ault doesn't even want to hear what happened, he had this to say regarding the arrest:
“He’s no longer on the team, If you’re a walk-on, you’re an invited guest of this football team. If you’re a scholarship player, you’d be suspended, miss games, as we’ve done in the past.”
