Terrell Williams LB Arkansas
Arkansas Razorbacks football has been depleted by injuries, leading to a 4-5 record (2-3 in the SEC) after notching a win against Tulsa in which they were losing in the 4th quarter. Senior linebacker Terrell Williams, currently the teams 4th leading tackler, has since been suspended indefinitely so they may continue their fall.
Williams was observed by police swerving and crossing the center linese multiple times before midnight on Saturday night. Williams admitted to police that he had been at a party, but denied having drank alcohol at said party. Police noticed that he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and smelled like alcohol so they made him do a field sobriety test -- which he ultimately failed. Williams then reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer.
Police said that while they were trying to read him his rights and book him into jail Williams was uncooperative and arguing with police until they turned him over to the sherrifs department who booked him at 4:07 in the morning.
Williams had 7 tackles in the 19-15 win over Tulsa on Saturday. He became a starter after injuries to two starters at the linebacker position. Williams was ultimately charged with DUI, driving left of center, and violation of the implied consent law.
