Ray Buchanan DB Ex-Atlanta Falcons
Ex-Atlanta Falcons defensive back "Big Play" Ray Buchanan, a two time All-Pro, notched 47 interceptions in his career that spanned from 1993-2004. This Saturday he was arrested after getting into his car after celebrating his 41st birthday.
Buchanan was spotted driving 95 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour interstate by police shortly before 3 A.M. Police say that he was swerving in and out of traffic without using his turn signal, a great way to attract attention to yourself just after bar time. When police turned on their lights to pull him over he allegedly drove another quarter mile before darting across several lanes and pulling over. Police noted that he smelled like alcohol, and he admitted to just having one drink -- a welcome change from the regular, "I only had two drinks, officer."
When he was taken downtown and got his BAC checked he registered just over a .09, and the legal limit in Georgia is .08.
Buchanan played in one Pro Bowl in 1998 while with the Atlanta Falcons, in which he had 7 interceptions that season. Buchanan is a former 3rd round pick out of the University of Louisville.
