Washaun Ealey RB Jacksonville State
Former Georgia Bulldog running back Washaun Ealey moved down a level to Jacksonville State after suspensions, injuries, and the signing of a top running back recruit. His first season with the JSU Gamecocks netted him over 1,000 yards, and he considered moving on to the NFL. The move down, however, hasn't helped him stay on the right side of the law.
Ealey was arrested and charged with second degree marijuana possession after Jacksonville State police searched his apartment this morning. The search came at almost 7:30 this morning and the police were at his apartment due to a noise complaint. He is suspended for their game against Chattanooga.
Ealey considered joining the NFL last season after his first season at JSU, but opted to return for his senior season. He is one of the few non-FBS players that is being watched for the Senior Bowl. Ealey combined for over 1,500 yards and 14 touchdowns in two seasons with the Bulldogs.
Ealey was arrested in August of 2010 when he hit a parked vehicle on campus at 3 in the morning then left after being told to wait for police.
