Raymond Sanders RB, Marcus Caffey CB, Bookie Cobbins WR Kentucky
Kentucky football hasn't started out as well as they would have liked. They lost their opener against Louisville, won their second game against powerhouse Kent State, and then got beat by Western Kentucky in overtime this past weekend.
Of course neither running back Raymond Sanders (above), cornerback Marcus Caffey, or wide receiver Bookie Cobbins played against Western Kentucky. Caffey hasn't played at all this season, nor will he, after being declared academically ineligible, but Sanders and Cobbins were suspended for the game following a marijuana incident this past Thursday.
Police on patrol noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the basement of an apartment complex. After searching police found marijuana, and all three of the players admitted to having smoked marijuana. All three were charged with marijuana possession.
Cobbins has not caught a pass this season, while Sanders had 115 yards and a touchdown in the before mentioned win against Kent State. They will be eligible to return against Florida this week.
