Chase Vasser LB Georgia

Chase Vasser was suspended two games by the Georgia Bulldogs because of the always present 'violation of team rules.' It wasn't until recently that what happened came to light.

Vasser has a court hearing coming up on August 21st for a May 11th DUI arrest. No other details regarding the arrest have been released.

Vasser, a starter on the Bulldogs defense, joins CB Sanders Commings in missing the first two games because of arrests. CB Branden Smith, ILB Alex Ogletree, and S Bacarri Rambo all may soon join them, though what they did hasn't come out yet.

As a Junoir last season Vasser made three starts recording 16 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Update: Details are available, I was just looking for them in all the wrong places. According to the Athens-Banner Herald, Vasser was seen weaving at around 2:23 A.M. when he was pulled over. When officers approached the vehicle Vasser smelled of alcohol, but Vasser stated that he was not intoxicated. The report states that Vasser looked sweaty and nervous, had bloodshot eyes, and his shirt appeared to have been slept in. Vasser then allegedly got 'visibly emotional' and said he was sorry, and plead for them to let him go. Then the police decided to let him go. Just kidding they took him to jail where he posted bond later that day.
