Donald Washington was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs out of Ohio State in the 4th round after posting a combine best 45 inch vertical at the 2009 combine. Since 2009 he has started a total of 5 games, amassing 52 tackles and no interceptions. He joined the NFL arrest train after his arrest on Thursday.

Washington was stopped by police for speeding on the interstate when he was clocked going 86 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. Police smelled marijuana in the vehicle and after a search of the vehicle they found a small amount of marijuana in a backpack in the trunk. Police also found a few crushed up pills in the vehicle and they were believed to be a controlled substance. Washington was arrested then and a large bond of $20,000 was put on him because more charges may be pending.

 Washington was ultimately arrested on charges of DUI drugs, unlawful possession cannabis, driving while his license is suspended, and speeding.
