Jerome Felton FB Minnesota Vikings
Jerome Felton started his career with the Detroit Lions after being selected in the 5th round in 2008 out of Furman, and has since played for the Panthers and the Colts before landing with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason via free agency. His stay in Minnesota may be shorter than expected following an arrest Friday.
Not many details have been released regarding the incident, but Felton was arrested for suspicion of second degree driving while impaired after refusing a chemical test. He was booked at 5:51 A.M. and was released today on a $12,000 bond.
More updates as soon as information becomes available.
Update: Felton's DUI didn't come as a result of driving miscues as is so often the case, as ESPN Twin Cities has learned -- it happened in the drive through of a McDonalds. Police received a call of an intoxicated man waiting in the drive through for food, and came to find Felton there at around 3 A.M. He refused a breathalyzer and in addition to the charge of second degree DWI with an aggravating factor of refusing a breath test, he was additionally charged with third degree DWI with an aggravating factor of having a prior DWI in the past 10 years and a charge of careless driving.
