Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley, after being drafted in the first round last year, recorded 15 tackles and 1 sack in limited time due to injury. In that time he recorded zero arrests, and must have felt like he was falling behind last years second round pick Mikel Leshoure so he decided to get on the board.
Police were called by a citizen about a person driving fast through the neighborhood in their Cadillac Escalade frequently. Fairley was pulled over as the speeder, and was found to be in possession of marijuana at around 12:30 this afternoon. He was brought to jail and later released on a $1,000 bond. He apparently did not tell police that he was holding it for Leshoure.
Fairley becomes the third Detroit Lion arrested for marijuana possession this offseason, joining the previously mentioned Mikel Leshoure and offensive lineman Johnny Culbreath.
