Six Marquette Golden Eagles

Drunk Goggles

As the Marquette Basketball team gets ready to compete in the Sweet 16 against the Florida Gators, 6 of there players were ticketed for a bar incident which occurred in January.

Guard Todd Mayo, Guard Vander Blue, Forward Jamail Jones, Forward Juan Anderson, Guard Derrick Wilson and guard Jake Thomas were all ticketed for being in a bar under the age of 21 years old, the legal drinking age. Many say that the bartenders didn't check their identifications, or that they looked at them and let them in anyways. Blue told police he saw people with wristbands on so he figured that that was to signify they were above age, and that they were still allowed to enter -- just not drink. The police report doesn't state whether they were drinking or not.

They will not be suspended for the upcoming game,
