Ryan Leaf QB Ex-San Diego Chargers
Former San Diego Chargers quarterback Ryan Leaf was on top of the world once, the #2 pick in the draft, he probably slayed a few cheerleaders, made a couple million, and was a starting quarterback in the NFL.
Once again, he has hit rock bottom.
Leaf was jailed once again, this time on charges of felony burglary, misdemeanor theft, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs. He was arrested at around 12:35 P.M. today, and not other details are available yet. He has already posted a $76,000 bond which probably ruined his day because he couldn't pick up some MegaMillions tickets.
Update: Leaf allegedly went into a friends home and took 15 pills from him. Police found an empty prescription bottle not prescribed to him. He was also in possession of 23 pain killers to which he was also not prescribed.
Update: Remember what I said about rock bottom? Well bottom just got a bit lower.
Ryan Leaf was arrested for the second time in four days, on almost the exact same charges. On Saturday he allegedly committed another burglary. He was charged, again, with possession of dangerous drugs and burglary, as well as a probation violation stemming from his 2010 felony drug arrest which netted him 10 years of probation. There is no bond due to the probation violation so it's likely that Leaf will sit in jail for a couple days -- at the very least.
