Nick Hardwick C San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers left offensive lineman Kris Dielman in the game after a concussion which led to a siezure which ultimately ended his career. Then they cut offensive tackle Marcus McNeill, who had been hurt with a knee injury, after going to two Pro Bowls since coming to San Diego in 2006. Finally, they decided to keep one of their offensive lineman healthy and under contract by signing Nick Hardwick to a deal shortly before free agency started today.
The former third round pick out of Purdue in 2004 has spent his entire career with the San Diego Chargers, and now it looks like he'll finish his career there. Whether it due to old age or poor management of concussions by the medical staff.
