LeRoy Hill LB Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks linebacker LeRoy Hill has had a tumultuous career since being drafted in the 3rd round of the 2005 draft out of Clemson. He was arrested three times, twice on marijuana charges and once on a domestic disturbance call. He was banished from the Seahawks facilities twice in the 2010 offseason, and is clearly a part of the leagues Substance Abuse program. Now -- on the verge of becoming a free agent -- he picked up his 4th arrest, again for marijuana.
During a random check of apartment floors, police dogs noticed a smell of marijuana coming from Hill's apartment at around 1 AM Saturday morning. Officers obtained a search warrant and when they entered the residence there were partially smoked blunts in plain view as well as some marijuana. Hill and his girlfriend were then arrested on simple marijuana possession charges.
Now Hill is going to have to try and find a team that will pay him, and wait for him to sit out his likely 4 game suspension -- All because he was smoking marijuana in his house in the offseason. Not passed out in his car like his first marijuana arrest.
Correction: That was Hill's 3rd arrest, 2nd for marijuana. In May 2010 he plead guilty to the marijuana charge he received in January 2009, wasn't arrested again.
