David Boston WR Ex-Arizona Cardinals
David Boston is a former first round selection by the Arizona Cardinals in 1998 after his All-American career at Ohio State. His NFL career on the other hand nowhere near All-American. He made one Pro Bowl in 2001 when he had 98 receptions for 1,598 yards and 8 touchdowns. He signed a huge contract with the San Diego Chargers and finished his career playing for the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
In 2007 his NFL career ended when he was arrested for DUI with a BAC of 0.00. It was rumored he tested positive for the recreational drug GHB which has questionable ties to body building. He was released after testing positive for a substance banned by the NFL.
Off the radar since then, he's back in the news. A woman who lives in the house where the incident occurred got nervous when she saw Boston drink a bottle of vodka, a bottle of wine, and take some unknown pills. She was, however, not nervous enough to invite her friend over. Boston had allegedly stayed there for 6 weeks and was planning on moving out into a nearby hotel, so the 7 year $47 million dollar contract with $12 million in guaranteed money must have run out. It's not clear what led to the fight but Boston punched the womans friend twice in the head which left a cut so big it required 10 stitches. Boston was ultimately charged with aggravated battery.
