Darren Sharper S New Orleans Saints

Former New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings safety Darren Sharper has decided to hang up his cleats at the age of 36. The five time Pro Bowler and six time All-Pro will retire 63 interceptions and 7.5 sacks on his statsheet. The 63 interceptions ties him with Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott at #6 on the list, behind Paul Krause (81), Emlen Tunnell (79),  Rod Woodson (71), Dick Night Train Lane (68), and Ken Riley (65).

Now the question is whether or not he is a future Hall of Famer. While his career numbers are up there with the best, and he has the elusive Super Bowl ring that he earned with the New Orleans Saints, he missed quite a bit of time due to injuries and only 22 defensive backs are currently in the Hall of Fame.

Now unlike former teammate Brett Favre he can go get drunk instead of riding his lawnmower into the sunset.
