Crimson Tide RB Brent Calloway didn't receive a single carry during #2 Alabama's stomping of SEC rival Tennessee on Saturday, which may have been due to a little bit of legal trouble that occurred on last Friday.
Calloway was a passenger in a car that was pulled over at around 12:50 A.M. because the vehicle was driving with it's lights off. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer smelled marijuana and proceeded to search the vehicle where they found a baggie of marijuana on Calloway. Calloway was ultimately charged with second-degree marijuana possession.
The freshman running back joined the Tide after choosing them over Auburn in the offseason.
Alabama responded to the arrest with a statement saying:
“[Head Coach Nick] Saban is aware of the situation and like all other disciplinary action, this will be handled internally"
