Iowa Hawkeyes backup QB A.J. Derby didn't get to play, but partied like a starter following his weekend arrest that will leave him suspended for 2 games -- not that he'd play anyways.
Derby was allegedly uninvited onto a bus and as he was exiting it he punched out a window. He admitted to intentionally damaging the property -- which was evaluated to cost $200-$500 to replace -- and he was charged with public intoxication and criminal mischief. He posted bond and was released.
Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz said on the situation; "A.J. Derby will serve a two game suspension as a result of his poor decisions this past weekend" Derby -- a red-shirt freshman -- is 3-6 on passing this season replacing starter James Vendenberg. He was a four star recruit.
