Plaxico Burress WR New York Giants

From being locked up, to being locked out. You can't expect anything crazier to happen to the man stupid enough to shoot himself in the leg, and then to be sent to jail for 20 months for it. I'm sure Plaxico Burress was very confused at sentencing, "Wait, what? I shot myself in the fucking leg, and then you send me to prison because of it?"

The only thing to make it more weird is that his family wasn't waiting for him when he left the prison, it was his agent Drew Rosenhaus who he apparently jumped into his loving embrace before heading off to a resort/casino for a reunion with his family. So the first thing he does when leaving prison is head to the casino, glad prison scared him straight.

Plaxico has released a statement today as well, saying:

“First of all, I want to thank God for bringing me through one of the most trying times of my life. It’s a beautiful day to be reunited with my family, go home and spend some quality time with them. I’d like to thank everybody for their prayers and words of encouragement. I’d like to thank all my fans around the world for the thousands of letters and unwavering support. As far as football is concerned, if and when everything gets settled and they get back on the field, I’ll be ready. Y’all be good and blessed.”
