Jorge Wright DL WVU

On Friday, West Virginia played in their spring game, and Jorge Wright was a participant. On Thursday, however, Wright was participating in some other not so legal activities.

Wright, a 20 year old redshirt Junior defensive lineman, was pulled over driving his Monte Carlo and police smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle they found a marijuana roach underneath the drivers seat. Continuing the search police found something a bit more troubling. They founded a gun within reach of Wright in a duffle bag in the backseat next to a fully loaded magazine. He was officially charged with Carrying a Deadly Weapon Without a License, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 15 Grams.

Wright played in 10 games last season, drawing one start and recording 10 tackles and forcing one fumble. During the spring game held the next day after his arrest, he recorded 3 tackles.
