Greg Romeus DE New Orleans Saints
Greg Romeus made an impact for the Pitt Panthers ever since his freshman year in 2007 where he was named a freshman All-American after recording 41 tackles in 12 games, and being 2nd on the team with 11.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.
Then came the injuries, he had back surgery on a herniated disk, and his first game back following the surgery in November left him with a torn ACL. Who knows what would have happened if he would have left the NCAA the year before.
Even with the injuries, NFL Draft Scout placed his highest range in the draft at round 3, and lowest at rounds 5-6, but in the end he was drafted in the 7th round at pick #226 by the New Orleans Saints. It's a prime situation to earn playing time with a lack of elite talent in front of him.
