Curtis Holcomb DB San Francisco 49er's

Florida A&M University CB Curtis Holcomb was called by both the Green Bay Packers and the Jacksonville Jaguars on draft day, allegedly promising to draft Holcomb. That didn't happen, and when his phone finally ringed it was the San Francisco 49er's calling to draft him in round 7 at pick #250.

Holcomb played ever since a freshman for the Rattlers, but coming from the MEAC conference he was projected to be an undrafted free agent on draft day by many draft news outlets. He had 12 interceptions over his career and was widely known as a shut down corner.

  1. I have personally scouted Holcomb, he is similar to Philip Adams of SC State, a 7th round selection who made the 49ers roster last year. Adams is a harder hitter but Holcomb is more fluid in coverage.
