Shelton Quarles Scout Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Shelton Quarles after retirement joined the Buccaneers as a scout in 2007. In January this season he was given a promotion to Coordinator of Pro Scouting. In March, more specifically this morning, he was in handcuffs and behind bars. Quarles, a one time pro bowler in 2002, was pulled over for driving his Audi 79 in a 55 MPH zone without his headlights on. He smelled strongly of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes when pulled over, and showed more signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. He refused a breathlayzer and was arrested on $500 bond. The Buccaneers are aware of the situation and are reviewing it, as an exec he could face a similar penalty as Lions president Jim Lewand who had a $100,000 fine and a 30 day suspension. I wouldn't expect it to be that much, however, since he isn't -- you know -- the president.
