Albert Haynesworth DT Washington Redskins

Any and all Washington Redskins fans were excited when they signed DT Albert Haynesworth in the first hour of free agency last year. They got a ferociously defensive lineman who played lights out and wasn't afraid to smash a few skulls with his cleats when he deemed necessary. Now, they are on the verge of cutting him. ESPN980 in Washington is reporting via a team source that Shanahan is "strongly considering" cutting him this week. They give an estimated '75%' likelihood of the move happening.

The deal he signed last year was $100 million dollars for 7 years, with $41 million dollars in guaranteed money. With the guaranteed money alone he could purchase 3,346,938 cases of Natural Light. If you don't understand the magnitude of that, that is over 100,000,000 12 ounce cans of the finest mixture of barley and hops you will find on the face of the earth.

Best Rumor of the Year Edit:  Haynesworth reportedly missed practice last Friday because of an Illness, and a television report said that he was hungover, not stricken with a form of the flue. That infuriated Big Al, saying:

"I believe there's some kind of haters in the organization, that they don't like me,I don't know if it's players, I don't know if it's coaches, I don't know who it is. Obviously somebody who doesn't like me, which is fine. But when you go out there and start making up lies, then, yeah, I've got something to say. Yeah, I went out on Thursday but left early because I wasn't feeling good and went home,And then they want to sit here and say I was hung over and drunk and something like that? ... For these people to make up lies to try to make me look bad, it's ridiculous."

So of course he went out on Thursday, it was Thirsty Thursday, how could he not go out? However, he went home early because he, 'wasn't feeling good'. That's bullshit. Every time I go out and go home early its because I'm to ShaqDieseled to go to the bar.  He probably scored one to many nattricks and then win home, hoping to sleep it off. Looks like it didn't work.

Update: Albert Haynesworth has been suspended for the final 4 games by coach Mike Shanahan.  He says its for conduct detrimental to the team, but it was totally for getting wasted last Thursday.
