Aaron Rodgers QB Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers is just a stone cold bad ass. After waiting pick after pick after pick in the NFL draft he got selected by the Green Bay Packers to some anger by the fans at pick #24. Little did they know, it may have possibly been one of the best draft picks in the history of the Packers. They were blindsided by there idol, Brett Favre. Rodgers waited 3 seasons behind Favre before he finally got his start, and then the ol' Gunslinger decided he wasn't done, and that he wanted back. Suddenly, the front office was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Stick with the young gun who had little experience, or go back with the aging gunslinger who skipped the entire offseason. Ted Thompson said, "See ya later ass hat!" and shipped Favre to the Jets, allowing Rodgers to start for the entire season. Fans were pissed, though. They picketed at training camp, they had mean words for coach Mike McCarthy, Rodgers, and Thompson. However, he kept his cool, until he said to the fans, "I don't feel I need to sell myself to the fans ... They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut."
In his first season he threw 28 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, one of the best seasons ever for a first year starting QB. From then, he only got better. The next season, last year, he threw 30 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions all while taking the league most in sacks, and scored 5 total touchdowns in the first round of the playoffs in a shootout loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This season so far he has scored 23 touchdowns and thrown 9 interceptions, adding 4 touchdowns on the ground (totaling 13 now in his 3 starting seasons). He's in the running for the MVP award this season, and is on his way to possibly another run at the playoffs.
From dating country music stars, Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, and allegedly ESPN's Erin Andrews -- all while posting the best quarterback rating in the history of the NFL, what else can he do to make his career any more amazing?
