Justin Blackmon, the nations leading receiver was in Dallas watching former teammate Dez Bryant blow up for 3 touchdowns on Monday Night Football, and on the way home he ended up in handcuffs. 20 year old Blackmon, driving back to Oklahoma with 3 friends, when he was pulled over going 92 in a 60. Blackmon then was asked to perform sobriety tests for the officers, which he failed, and Texas law means that any amount of alcohol in the system of a minor means they can be arrested for DUI. Blackmon was jailed at 3:45 AM for a misdemeanor DUI charge and speeding ticket and was released on $375 bond, paid by former Oklahoma State RB Taylor Sokolosky. The other passengers names were not on record, but sources tell Tulsa World that sophomore Oklahomoa State WR Tracy Moore was also present. It also isn't known whether Blackmon bought the tickets to the game, or gained them in another way that may be an NCAA violation. The sophomore Blackmon leads the NCAA with 62 catchs, 1,112 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season.
Suspension Update: Oklahoma State has suspended possibly the best player on their team for one game following the DUI arrest. No word yet on how he got the tickets, as he said he could not comment on it.
