Jimmy Burge DL Mizzou
was arrested on drinking charges at 11:45 Saturday night. Burge was intoxicated while driving, but not charged with driving while intoxicated. He was drunk driving but was not drunk enough to be charged with drunk driving. He was not only drink and driving, he was drinking while driving. Burge was pulled over by Columbia police for making an illegal U-Turn at 11:45 PM Saturday night, and police noticed that he smelled like alcohol and looked intoxicated. He had a cold, opened beer in his car when he was pulled over, and allegedly did not do well when he was administered field sobriety tests. However -- when he was taken to the station for a blood test, his BAC was under .08 so he was legally sober enough to drive. That being said, he was charged with making an illegal U-Turn, and drinking intoxicants while operating a motor vehicle. Burge just turned 21 a couple of weeks ago, and becomes the 4th Mizzou Tiger arrested on alcohol charges in the last 2 months.
