Freshman DE Jacques Smith (seen destroying a Florida WR above), who was the #1 overall player in Tennessee before signing his letter of intent with Tennessee, was arrested on a simple battery charge following an altercation at a bar. He was ultimately charged with assault with bodily injury and released on a $2,000 bond. The fight was with him and another student, and it was over a woman. So clearly Smith was talking with a girl, and a guy came up and told her that she was the only "Ten - I - See" and the shit hit the fan. Other Volunteer players diffused the situation, but the guy and his mother decided to press charges. Smith has played in all 8 games for the Volunteers and has recorded 18 tackles.
