Ali Highsmith LB Ex-Arizona Cardinals

Ali Highsmith was a 2007 first team All-American at LSU, and that didn't help him get drafted as he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2008. He made the team and played in 6 games before a knee injury knocked him out for the season. He spent time on the teams training camp before getting waived again August 2010, but was claimed 2 days later by the San Diego Chargers. He stayed with the team a total of 8 days before being cut and hasn't been on an NFL roster since. Now, we might never find him on an NFL roster again, let alone in public for a while. He was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute on Friday after letting police search his home. What they found was 2 pounds of marijuana (street value ranging from $23,000 to $24,000), a grinder, and a vaporizer. Sale / Cultivation, or possession with intent to sell of less than 60 pounds of marijuana has a fine of up to $50,000 and a jail sentence of 5-30 years. Needless to say, Cheech here has some trouble in front of him now.

  1. 16 oz in a pound x 2 lbs = 32 oz
    1/8th = 3.5g = $50
    8, 8th's in an oz: $50x 8 = $400/ oz max
    $400 oz x 32 oz = $12,800 max for 2 pounds
Seriously, you writes this shit. Furthermore does anyone check it? I find it hard to believe that a site dedicated to athletes getting in trouble for drugs and alcohol has no knowledge about it.
