Freshman linebacker Demetre Baker, a former 4 star LB according to scout.com, has been kicked off the Bulldog football team following a DUI arrest. Baker, who was booked at around 4:26AM Sunday morning told the police officer that pulled him over in his 1996 Mercedes Benz that he was weaving in traffic due to the fact that he was trying to text on his cell phone. He claimed he was downtown, but didn't drink, and was the designated driver that dropped off his friend and was just heading to McDonalds to get some food. Believable? Yes. True? No. Baker submitted a field sobriety test and blew a .092, .012 over the legal limit. Baker did not travel when the Bulldogs lost to Mississippi State to drop their third straight SEC match, and now he won't be traveling to any games for Georgia in the future.
