Bruce Walker Assistant Coach Mizzou
Bruce Walker, an assistant coach who helps with the offensive line, was arrested on August 2nd for DUI, and it slipped through... well just about everyone's cracks I suppose. Either that or they just didn't give a shit. Either way I don't blame them. Walker used to be the tight ends coach, coaching up Chase Coffman (3rd round) and Martin Rucker (4th round) to the NFL. Where one failed miserably on Hard Knocks, and the other has been cut numerous times and is bouncing/sucking around the league now (the two have a combined 2 receptions for 17 yards -- all by Rucker).
Walker was in the parking lot of the athletic complex when officers walked up on him and saw him behind the wheel of his car (which had been running at the time). They had just gotten back from a trip that took him and the other coaches and their wives to the Lake of the Ozarks. The only thing interesting about this story -- is that Walker had a taxi cab ON SCENE that he had called to give him a ride home. He was ticketed and allowed to ride in the said taxi home by the university police.
