Joey Porter LB Arizona Cardinals
Newly acquired Cardinal Joey Porter, and when I mean newly I definitely mean "new" in every sense of the word, was arrested for DUI, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer. 8 days after signing a 3 year contract worth 18-24 million, depending on who you ask. Porter stopped by where his friend got pulled over, and apparently the police officers didn't like the fact that stopping and watching police officers do their work is in no way, shape, or form illegal, and came over to talk to him, because you know, he was the main center of there attraction. They smelled alcohol on his breath, and even though he really had done nothing wrong, and clearly had done nothing to get pulled over, they asked for his drivers license, and he refused and then tried to roll up his window. Cops then tried to reach in his car and unlock it, but then Porter slapped the cops hand away. Then the cops grabbed his arm and he got out in a "confrontational manner" The officer pulled his gun on Porter, and Porter, despite being shot in the past, didn't comply, but put his hands behind his head. Multiple units then came and Porter was finally taken into custody.
