Brandon Collins WR Texas
Brandon Collins didn't play this season after being ruled ineligible prior to the season opener, and then redshirted, so of course he wasn't going to be playing in the National Championship coming up against Alabama. Now he has a whole heap of trouble thats going to likely prevent him from ever playing for the Longhorns again after getting 35 catches for 340 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2008. Collins was charged with aggravated assault and engaging in organized criminal activity, 2 first degree felonies. Organized crime? Collins either joined the Soprano's mafia or is straight thugging. Collins was driving a car with 2 passengers, Ashton Collins and Marcus Caruth. Caruth ran up to an old acquaintance at a McRonalds and robbed him at gunpoint, and when they were all pulled over the officer found a loaded hand gun under the front right seat. The officer also found Marijuana and hashish.
Collins and Caruth told the officer that they had planned to buy marijuana from the victim of the assault, and deny there ever being a gun used in the assault. Brandon Collins and Caruth both said it was Ashton Collins who went up to the guy at the McRonalds, but no gun was present.
